At Veer Ornaments, the privacy of the jewellers and businesses we deal with is a priority. This Privacy Policy sets out what information we collect through our mobile application and our website, why we collect it, and what we do with it.

It applies to our online activities only. It does not cover information given to us in person, over the counter, or through any channel other than our app and website.

By using our app or our website, you consent to this Privacy Policy and agree to its terms.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Where we ask you for personal information, we will make clear at that point why we are asking for it.

When you register for an account we ask for the details needed to trade with you, which may include your name, your firm's name, its address, an email address and a telephone number.

If you contact us directly we may receive further information about you, such as the contents of your message and anything you choose to attach to it.

When you place an order we record the items, quantities and specifications you ask for, together with the correspondence relating to that order.

HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use the information we collect in order to:

• Provide, operate and maintain our app and website
• Process and fulfil the orders you place with us
• Understand how our app and website are used, and improve them
• Communicate with you about your orders and your account
• Send you notices about products, prices and availability
• Detect and prevent fraud

LOG FILES

We follow the standard practice of keeping log files. These record visits to our services and typically include the internet protocol (IP) address, browser type, internet service provider, a date and time stamp, referring and exit pages, and the number of clicks. This information is not linked to anything personally identifiable. It is used to analyse trends, administer the service and gather general information about how it is used.

SERVICE PROVIDERS

We use a small number of third parties to run the service - for example hosting providers, and messaging services used to send order updates. They receive only what they need in order to perform that function, and are not permitted to use it for anything else. We do not sell your information, and we do not display third-party advertising in our app or on our website.

OTHER SITES

Our app and website may link to services we do not operate. This Privacy Policy does not apply to them, and we are not responsible for their practices. We would encourage you to read the privacy policy of any such service before providing information to it.

YOUR RIGHTS OVER YOUR INFORMATION

You are entitled to the following in respect of the personal information we hold about you:

• The right of access - to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
• The right to rectification - to ask us to correct information you believe is inaccurate, or complete information you believe is incomplete.
• The right to erasure - to ask us to delete your personal information, in certain circumstances.
• The right to restrict processing - to ask us to limit how we use your personal information, in certain circumstances.
• The right to object - to object to our use of your personal information, in certain circumstances.
• The right to portability - to ask us to transfer the information we hold to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.

If you make such a request we will respond within one month. Please note that we may need to keep certain records, such as those relating to completed orders, in order to meet legal and accounting obligations.

DATA SECURITY

We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

CHILDREN'S INFORMATION

Our services are intended for businesses and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us with such information, please contact us and we will remove it promptly.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version will always be available here, and takes effect from the date it is posted.
